Currently, the only country in Africa that can support Apple Pay is South Africa.
Several countries in the Asia and Pacific region support Apple Pay. These countries include Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, the China mainland, Macao, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan. While using Apple Pay in China, users can only access Apple Pay on Safari web browsers. Users must have a device compatible with an iPad or an iPhone operating with the operating system iOS 11.2 or later.
The majority of Europe supports the use of Apple Pay, making it a safe, easy, and convenient way to exchange money and purchase goods. Countries within Europe that accept Apple Pay include Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Kazakhstan, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and Vatican City. Some major countries, like Belarus and Russia, do not support Apple Pay.
Although only a handful of countries will accept Apple Pay in Latin America or the Caribbean, it is possible to use the convenient payment option in select countries. Latin American countries that support Apple Pay include Argentina, Columbia, Costa Rica, Brazil, Mexico, and Peru.
Although there are not a significant number of Middle East countries supporting Apple Pay, there are a handful of countries that accept this as a form of payment. The countries that support Apple Pay in the Middle East include Bahrain, Israel, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Of course, before traveling to any of these countries, ensure you check local regulations to ensure a bank will be able to support monetary transactions conducted through Apple Pay.
In North America, only Canada and the United States can support Apple Pay. It is possible to send and receive money with either Apple Pay or the Apple Cash card in these countries. Green Dot Bank supports these services in the United States and Canada. The Apple Card is supported in the United States only. This credit card is issued from Goldman Sachs Bank USA and can only be used in the US.
