However, that’s because people can use it to talk to people internationally directly to their phone numbers if they want instead of chat with no charge except what takes up limited phone plans. Number of India users is up from 390.1 million users reported in 2020.
In Brazil, 118.5 million people used this app in 2021, which adds to the 98% of them that have this chatting tool installed on their smartphones. Number of users also increased from the 108.4 million people using WhatsApp to communicate in 2020. Instagram is the second most used app in 2021, and Facebook Messenger is the third most used in Brazil.
84.8 million Indonesian people communicated using WhatsApp in 2021, which has increased from the 2021 WhatsApp use total of 68.8 million people.
