The highest concentration of Moroccans in the United States is found on the East Coast. Virginia has the largest Moroccan population with 10,641 individuals, followed by Massachusetts and New Jersey with 7,765 and 8,621 respectively. Together these three states account for nearly a third of all Moroccans living in America. New York comes in fourth place with 16,628 Moroccan residents, making up around 8.5% of the state's total population.
In contrast, the states with the lowest percentage of Moroccans are Montana, South Dakota, and North Dakota, each with less than 0.002% of their populations identifying as Moroccan. Despite having large overall populations, California and Texas have relatively small percentages of Moroccan residents, with just 0.03% and 0.02% respectively. It is worth noting that while the overall number of Moroccans living in some states may be small, they still contribute culturally and economically to the local communities they reside in.
