Haitian Population by State 2024

Florida has the highest number of Haitians in the United States, with 487,632 individuals, representing 2.15% of the state's population. Massachusetts has the second-highest number of Haitians, with 81,050 individuals or 1.16% of the state's population. New York has the third-highest number of Haitians, with 182,316 individuals or 0.94% of the state's population. New Jersey, Connecticut, and Delaware also have a relatively high percentage of Haitians at 0.79%, 0.55%, and 0.53%, respectively.

On the other hand, some states have a lower percentage of Haitians in their population, with Wyoming having the lowest percentage at only 0.005%. Other states such as West Virginia, New Mexico, Arkansas, Utah, Oklahoma, Montana, Idaho, Wisconsin, and Mississippi also have a lower percentage of Haitians, ranging from 0.01% to 0.02% of their population. While the overall numbers are relatively small, these communities still play an important role in promoting Haitian culture and identity in their respective states.
