Nerd Wallet looked at the number of single women for every 100 single men to compare a single man’s odds. Dating affordability was determined by calculating the price of a three-course meal and two movie tickets at a midrange restaurant in each city. The social scene was analyzed by calculating the number of arts and entertainment attractions and restaurants in each per 1,000 residents.
Baltimore, Maryland ranks as the top city for single men. There are about 125 unmarried women in Baltimore for every 100 men, the highest ratio of any of the cities. The average cost of dinner for two and a movie in Baltimore is $69.62. As for the social scene, there are about 2.32 arts and entertainment attractions and restaurants per 1,000 residents.
The cheapest date on this list can be found in Omaha, Nebraska, where two three-course dinners and two movie tickets cost only $49.30. The most expensive date on this list can be found in New York at $103.00. Long Beach has the highest number of arts and entertainment attractions and restaurants per 1,000 people of 3.03. New York was the most walkable city and Washington D.C. had the highest median income of $46,401.
