Countries with No Homeless 2024

  • Country-to-country comparisons of homelessness can be challenging due to differing definitions of the term.
  • Depending upon the country, homeless totals may or may not include individuals living in shelters, transitional housing, or housing generally considered unfit for human habitation.
  • Similarly, totals may or may not include individuals who are internally displaced (such as those who've had to leave their homes due to war, civil unrest, or natural disasters). Totals may also exclude those "chronically homeless" individuals who are simply unable to afford housing.
  • The definition of a home can be similarly flexible, as what constitutes a home in a low-income developing country may be considered unfit in a developed country.
  • Bhutan, Jordan, Liechtenstein, Vatican City: These countries have reported or claimed to have no homeless population on average per day.
  • The accuracy of data displayed may vary based on the methodology and criteria used by each country.
