The United States and Venezuela are almost tied for being the countries with the most Miss Universe winners. The United Stats has eight Miss Universe winners, and holds the title for the country with the most winners. Venezuela is home to seven winners for the Miss Universe title.
The United States has been winning the title since 1954, with the first Miss Universe for America going to Miriam Stevenson. The other seven winners are as follows:
Venezuela is a rivaled winner in the pageant world, with seven Miss Universe titles. It is also home to eight Miss International titles, six Miss World titles, and two Miss Earths. The runners up for the most Miss Universe titles are Puerto Rico and the Philippines. The Miss Universe pageant has been in existence since 1952, and within 20 years, Puerto Rico would host the pageant for the first time. It would be the first time a Latin American country would host Miss Universe. Puerto Rico won Miss Universe five times.
The Philippines has won four times, and has also won Miss Earth four times. There are also six Philippines residents that won Miss International, and the Philippines has won Miss World one time.
The countries of Sweden, South Africa, Medica, and India, have tied for having three Miss Universe winners. It may not sound like a lot of winners, but these countries are among the highest-earning title winners for Miss Universe, and it is a big deal to pageant folks and fans.
